Each year VES supports a charity chosen by our staff.

In 2022 we are proud to support the Trussell Trust (Registered charity 1110522).

The Trussell Trust support a nationwide network of food banks and together they provide emergency food and support to people locked in poverty, and campaign for change to end the need for food banks in the UK.

In the UK, more than 14 million people are living in poverty – including 4.5 million children. The Trussell Trust support more than 1,200 food bank centres in the UK to provide a minimum of three days’ nutritionally-balanced emergency food to people who have been referred in crisis, as well as support to help people resolve the crises they face. The Trussell Trust's vision is 'for a UK without the need for food banks".

At VES we are continuously raising funds for our nominated charity through a variety of activities, both during work hours and in our own spare time.

It's a great way to support charities financially by raising funds and giving up our time, but it also provides the opportunity to build better working relationships within our own organisation and the wider community.
