Role Overview:

Purpose of Role:

To support the External Sales team by selecting ventilation solutions, compiling quotations and proposals for issuing inline with customers requirements and processing orders received inline with the business’ procedures.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • To compile quotations utilizing software and systems provided including CCSI, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Axapta, SQS and others, in line with customer and External team requirements.
  • Evaluate opportunities, providing engineering solutions that support VES’ core sectors, identifying opportunities for value engineering, technical influence and commercial advantages.
  • Complete Sales objectives and targets within weekly, monthly and quarterly action plans.
  • Achieve internal sales targets in line with required Key Performance Indicators set out at induction stage.
  • Identify opportunities with external customers and external sales staff that suit VES’ capabilities, supporting and nurturing enquiries to order.
  • Attend site and customer visits when required.
  • Develop key account plans with the external sales management to identify target, develop and defend accounts, with agreed actions to progress them forwards.
  • Attend virtual and in-person meetings with external customers and staff to develop inter-departmental relationships and provide technical support and selections to customers.
  • Enhance your own and colleagues technical understanding of VES products and solutions, in-time becoming an expert in a sector, product or area.
  • Provide feedback on regularly used systems with suggestions on how to improve business tools assisting the Business Systems teams to develop the software utilized by the sales team.
  • Attend order and design reviews to assist the progression of projects through the business into manufacture.
  • Build, develop and maintain customer relationships, in order to develop externally as a key customer touch point.
  • To maintain the company’s Health and Safety policy and ensure all employees are aware of the Health and Safety regulations.
  • To ensure as far as is reasonably practicable that VES complies with all statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Any other duties deemed appropriate by your Line manager or Director
