Purpose of role
To execute all aspects of resource planning and order scheduling to meet customer delivery and installation for requirements, working accurately efficiently paying attention to detail utilising business resources in line with capacity plans, materials lead-time and customer demand to generate lean schedules to maximise revenue and cashflow.

Roles and responsibilities
Planning Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed production schedules based on customer demand, product lead-time, design and production capacity and inventory levels
- Monitor and manage Work Centre Groups and adjust schedules as needed to meet changing demands
- React to change in demand through expediting and delaying production and purchase goods
- Expedite operations that delay schedules and alter schedules to meet unforeseen conditions
- Escalate issues with capacity levels preventing client deliveries from being achieved within business lead time
- Ensure lean production sequencing throughout all work centre groups and operations using previously determined sequences and lead times to achieve a JIT (Just In Time) supply plan
- Review and manage schedules with production teams, project managers and key personnel
- Plan and execute supply of externally purchased components in line with production schedules and demand
- Collaborate with procurement, manufacturing, and logistics teams to ensure optimal resources allocation throughout the production and supply chains
- Implement best practices for production planning and inventory management, analysing production data and trends to identify areas for improvement
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and resolve any issues
- Assist in forecasting demands from sales and translating into manufacturing models to achieve revenue targets.
General Responsibilities
- Provide high levels of customer service to both internal and external customers
- Manage and monitor Department KPI’s and escalate any failing to the line manager
- Contribute to cost avoidance by managing actual demand
- Maintain the company database through accurate data input
- Provide support for coordinating client returns
- Perform supporting administration functions related to the Operations Department responsibilities
- Review and manage documentation and information transfer in and out of the department to effectively control activities to enable others to achieve their requirements.
Other
- Work with the team and Operations management to improve the operational systems, processes and policies in support organisational goals to maximise effective, efficient, profitable output
- Support with ongoing training, development, and recruitment
- Maintain the companies Health and Safety’s policy’s
- To be flexible with overtime where needed to support the department
- Assist and participate with your appraisal, provide feedback, and adopt clear personal development plans
- All other reasonable requests made by your line manager.
