Summary

Purpose of role

To provide operational support to the Fabrication facility, through the reviewing and managing of schedules, resources and materials to achieve the delivery objectives of the facility. This role involves administrative tasks, Data entry and communication with various members within the facility and our Headquarters to maintain efficient production workflows.

£23,810 - £28,117

Description

Roles and responsibilities

  • Manage production and purchase orders to ensure material availability to meet manufacturing demand
  • Monitor and manage production schedules, validating requirements to suit factory demand
  • Monitor work centre resource levels and support coordination to meet upcoming demand
  • Ensure accurate production paperwork availability for the planned manufacturing start dates
  • Contribute to cost avoidance by managing actual demand
  • Provide support in the schedule to provide fast and effective solutions without impacting onward supply, working collaboratively with all relevant departments
  • Support in management of the inventory profile, ensuring effective JIT purchasing and supporting in cyclic counts and stock takes
  • Support the coordination of outbound despatches and production of associated paperwork and system processing
  • Adopt Lean principles throughout all operations to support continuous improvement
  • Support the effective management and coordination of on-site maintenance for both machinery and facilities
  • Provide support where required to the HQ Operations team

General

  • Build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders to develop a culture of trust and investment, providing a high level of customer service
  • Collaborate and communicate with all departments in the Company to ensure the business needs are met
  • Manage and monitor Department KPI’s and escalate any failing to line management
  • Maintain the company database through accurate data input.
  • Perform supporting administration functions related to the Operations Department responsibilities

Other

  • Work with the team and Operations management to improve the operational systems, processes and policies in support of organisational goals to maximise effective, efficient, profitable output
  • Support with ongoing training and development
  • Be aligned with the company corporate values and maintain the company Health and Safety policies
  • Assist and participate with your appraisal, provide feedback, and adopt clear personal development plans
  • Act as a catalyst for change and improvement in performance and quality
  • Be flexible with overtime when needed to support the department
