Role Summary
This is an exciting position within a growing team, reporting directly to the Marketing Director. The role will be varied, with potential projects ranging from running our LinkedIn campaign, organising tradeshow exhibits and revamping our website to creating our internal company newsletter, capturing current marketing content around the business and supporting on the organisation of our two annual company-run events. The Marketing Director will give you clear accountability / ownership for some external and internal marketing initiatives within the department’s strategy, requiring you to use initiative and work autonomously. Likewise, you will also be given initiatives to support on, requiring you to work as part of a team to deliver these projects. It is a great position for someone with experience who wants to grow and take on more responsibility within a marketing team or for someone with the right attributes, attitude and ambition, with a background in marketing, looking for their first role.
Purpose of Role
To support the Marketing Director in the implementation and analysis of an external and internal marketing strategy. In this role you will work across several different areas of marketing, leading / supporting on external and internal marketing initiatives, to help grow our awareness, reputation, and position within the ventilation industry.
Roles and Responsibilities
LinkedIn Campaign
- Overall accountability and responsibility for our LinkedIn strategy, its adoption and its alignment to overall business demands to support brand awareness, sales growth, product exposure and employee engagement.
- Ownership of our LinkedIn content calendar and the planning / creation / review / publication of captivating quality content in collaboration with internal subject matter experts, external freelancers / agencies, our supply chain partners, and our client base.
- Overall accountability and responsibility for the running of the VES LinkedIn page including the monitoring of, reacting to and analysis of interactions in a timely manner, keeping it up to date and on brand with periodic reviews, optimising our page, and the monitoring of, analysis and reporting back on industry, competitor and general LinkedIn activity.
- Ownership of the performance against our LinkedIn targets including the setting, analysing and reporting of them, and the communication of progress against these targets and other important LinkedIn metrics periodically to senior leadership / the wider business.
- Acts as the go-to expert within the business for any questions relating to our LinkedIn campaign and accountable for the training of necessary people / teams internally (e.g. external sales team and subject matter experts) on this platform to help digitally support the company’s awareness, reputation and position within the ventilation industry.
External Marketing
- Supporting the Marketing Director in the implementation and analysis of an external marketing strategy.
- Leading / supporting the research, delivery, analysis and reporting back of external marketing initiatives as directed by the Marketing Director, some projects of which may require management of external freelancers / agencies. These initiatives may include, but are not limited to, branding projects, case study / flyer / brochure creation, website creation / re-design, relevant tradeshow attendance / exhibits, publication features, award show submissions, email marketing campaigns, customer flow improvements, product launches and community engagement / corporate social responsibility.
- When the new website is set up, acts as the internal expert for how it runs and how to analyse Google Analytics data, with responsibility for keeping it up-to-date, accurate and working.
- Work closely with relevant teams within the business (e.g. Sales, R&D, Manufacturing, Services etc.) to help the marketing team fully understand what is new / happening / needed in the business, including getting on site with each member of our external sales team at least once a year, and capturing ongoing quality imagery of the products within our factories.
Internal Marketing
- Ownership of initiatives and improvements relating to internal communication and employee feedback which may include, but are not limited to, leading on the ongoing creation / distribution of our internal newsletter, management of our employee suggestion boxes through the entire feedback loop and leading on the set-up / look / feel of our internal noticeboards.
- Ownership of initiatives and improvements relating to social / charity events which may include, but are not limited to, taking the logistical lead on the running of our social and charity committee and supporting the whole marketing team with the organisation of our two annual company-run events (the VES birthday week and Christmas party).
- Ultimate responsibility for the ongoing distribution of welcome packs to new starters within the business and for the professional look / use / tidiness of both the HQ reception area and marketing room.
- Plays a pivotal marketing role in the ongoing celebration and acknowledgement of those with long service and leads / supports on the creation / implementation of any other internal marketing ask as directed by the Marketing Director.

£26,080 - £30,426
