Purpose Of Role:
To transport goods to and from Chandlers Ford factory. Loading goods using counterbalance forklift truck and driving flatbed. Some assembly, manual handling required.
Description
Role and Responsibilities:
- To deliver and collect goods as required.
- To record all part numbers, quantities and PRA numbers accurately to allow transfer journals to be generated.
- To load and unload truck using Reach Truck ensuring all paperwork is correct and that transfer journals are 100% accurate.
- To clean van and truck on a regular basis and ensure that regular maintenance checks are carried out on the vehicles.
- To keep a record of all mileage and ensure receipts are kept and handed in on a regular basis.
- To ensure that all deliveries / collections are done on time and to be flexible with tea and lunch breaks, and with finishing times.
- To help with stock deliveries and putting stock away when specifically asked to do so.
- To load the turret punches with steel when asked.
- To assist with general duties around the premises.
- Any other duties deemed appropriate by your Line Manager.
