Summary
The Small Works Sales Engineer is an enthusiastic individual that provides support to VES’ customers, the External and Internal Sales teams. The role ensures the small works team can react efficiently with urgent enquiries.
Description
Main duties
-
Take incoming calls from customers
- Understand the specific customer requirements by telephone or email communication
- Prepare, revise and issue proposals, scope of works and costings that fall within the Small Works remit to customers, regional sales, key accounts, bidding competitions etc
- Process customer orders in line with Company procedures, ensuring KPI’s are achieved
- Update internal databases
- Resolve customer queries, escalating the issue if necessary
- Attend site visits as required
Essential
- Ability to work efficiently and meet targets/deadlines
- Good understanding of Microsoft applications
- GCSE level or equivalent to include maths and English
- Good IT literacy
- Good communication and customer service skills
Desirable
- Level 3 qualifications in engineering field or equivalent (NVQ/BTEC/foundation Degree)
- HVAC industry experience
- Sales experience
