Description

Roles and responsibilities

  • To effectively deliver the day-to-day Inspection plans through preplanning and effective communication with the Manufacturing, Fabrication and Warehouse teams.
  • Managing return requests within the Quality Control team, ensuring reports are completed detailing any errors with the returns or if they can be returned to stock for resale.
  • Managing change note requests within the Quality Control team, ensuring all changes that influence the quality control of all products are managed effectively.
  • Support Manufacturing, Fabrication and Warehouse teams with any quality concerns they might have or with technical advice throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Ensure all product labelling, QC packs, and QCS documents are completed on time and are consistent across all product ranges.
  • Manage DOR’s (Development Opportunity Requests) effectively to record and report on errors and quality concerns and any repeat issues that can be communicated back into the relevant areas to prevent repeat errors.
  • Ensure the inspection of products reflects the physical state through Production order control, status and traffic light system.
  • To observe all signs, instructions and procedures relevant to Health & Safety.
  • Ensure all tools and working area are respected and maintained, to keep clean and tidy and free from hazards.
  • Manage, highlight, and when required fix, any technical errors that may occur when testing the units.
  • Be able to fault find with the use of technical drawings and provide a route to a suitable corrective action.
  • Understand and follow control schematic drawings to find wiring errors if any on the units whilst they are being electrically tested.
  • Support with personal ongoing training and development.
  • All other reasonable requests made by your Team Leader and/or line manager.
  • To be flexible with overtime where needed to support the department or other related departments
  • Any other duties deemed appropriate by the Quality Control Team Leader.
